::So. It's time for me to follow an incredibly silly idea. That has been approved of by Jinn, Ozma and Linka.

A) You can find a pale-white haired woman at the Domino pier, overlooking the recently salvaged wreck of the ship Ancient Fairy Dragon had been using to find... someone who doesn't exist and never did exist.
She's wearing a mourning veil, contemplating something, something so long ago, another life. A place in time.

B) There's a young woman with the same pale-white hair working in or around the rail line to Duel Academia, on either end, she's wearing a Top Gun baseball hat. Two of them in fact. She's clearly always been working here and the the former employee hasn't been hypnotized or stuffed into a locker.

C) You can instead find her at night, with a green haired young lady with fox ears, conversing among each other, at the same rail lines, late at night. She seems to be tired, and writing in a notebook over and over.

D) There's a wizardly young woman with honey blonde hair, wearing glasses and possibly a cloak and witch's hat, playing with the animals in the Spirit Garden at the Spirit-Arcadia Institute, or the City Park. Or the hole in the ground where Kaikori used They seem to trust her despite her not having been around before(?).

E) The same witch is in Carcosa's Throne Room, packing up a Game Cube and stuffing a shower set up into a bag of holding. This might be most likely available for the Briar sisters or Sumiho the younger. She's wearing a T-Shirt.::

Re: [Event E]
Date: 2024-08-26 09:43 pm (UTC)Blair for the moment.
::Picking up the bag of holding.::
... Now, can you two tell me who you are and why I shouldn't smash you out of this room.
Re: [Event E]
Date: 2024-08-26 09:54 pm (UTC)Okay, we're technically friends of Carcosa, but not like, how it's devolved. We could've stopped what's happened, I think, if we weren't ripped out of reality for months, maybe even a year at this point. You were... a very good friend to us, before history got overwritten. I swear. Is there like... blotches in your memories, where two twin girls could slot into? Playing video games, eating snacks?"
Eira takes in a breath, holding her hands up in an extremely nonthreatening gesture.
"You were... uh. Dating our older sister too. Is there something there, some like. Absence? More yearning than usual? Weird feelings when you stare at the ocean? Helen here was supposed to help you with her, before we all got pulled out of reality. We're friends, even if you don't remember us."
Re: [Event E]
Date: 2024-08-26 09:59 pm (UTC)...
And if I told you my psyche was too broken and I barely trust my own memories, and I really want to stop thinking about Antagonish-shaped things?
::She seems honestly, kind of bitter.::
Re: [Event E]
Date: 2024-08-26 10:10 pm (UTC)"... I'd believe it. Someone recently did a number on you, didn't they, miss Blair?" She crosses her arms. "And reality's full of holes we're trying to patch up, so I don't blame you. Let's... try this again. I'm Eira Briar, this is my sister Helen, and we're trying to save the world and our family, because it's all gone to shit and we may need your help."
She exhales.
"And... if you're not in any position mentally to help, it sucks, but... I ain't gonna force it. This is just another pile of shit luck for us."
Re: [Event E]
Date: 2024-08-26 10:14 pm (UTC)...
::Pulls over an office chair with wheels.::
I'm honestly really really tired of 'saving the world' and 'the needs of mankind', Eira. I'm.
Really really tired. Do you know how ugly and scarred I've had to make this world every time I was told 'this is for the good of mankind' or 'the world needs to be saved' and this or that needs to be locked away.
::Placing her arms on a magical grimoire that's floated over to her.::
Re: [Event E]
Date: 2024-08-26 10:28 pm (UTC)She pulls up her own chair.
"So I don't blame you for being tired. Don't blame you for not wanting to scar the world anymore or keep prisons. The saving the world thing is... Well, I think history's on a weird path. Something my family's nature could turn around or at least shift, if they existed again.
But if I'm gonna be honest? The core of my request is selfish. I think we could fix some stuff in the world, but... I wanted a real family no matter what for nearly 17 years in another life. And they're literal demons, obnoxious, loud, and stupid, but they're my family. And you're the one person my sister cared about that wasn't blood, and the only thing she may come to if called properly."
Re: [Event E]
Date: 2024-08-26 10:41 pm (UTC)...
If she cared she wouldn't of run away to the water for some idea...
If she was ever there.
I've had too many people who were never real in my life. I had to make up the story of Gilgamesh to give humankind the first named hero that wasn't one of the horned reified gods like my master.
'Diana' is a name from a man that was never there.
And a woman who claimed she loved me more than anything ran away for the sea.
::Sighs.::
I miss Avalon before I had to lock away Gogmagog. I miss the rainbow roads of the ether before I had to lock away Ithaqua. I miss the moons of Selene and Artemis...
All for mankind.
All for the mankind that gave me... your sister who never loved me. And a Signer every hero wants to kill because she had to stop the woman of autumn leaves who never had a name.
All for mankind.
::Sighs.::

Date: 2024-08-26 10:53 pm (UTC)It's not like either of them are properly emotionally equipped for this sort of thing, right?
"Miss Blair, I'm sorry to hear all of..."
[2/2]
Date: 2024-08-26 11:15 pm (UTC)Helen is up now, eyes bright, crackling with the power of... belief in herself? Wow, that didn't take much. One compliment and a fairly chaste kiss?
"Miss Blair. Ancient Fairy Dragon. Whatever names and forms you wish to wear are none of my business. You and our clan have been intertwined for thousands of years. Gilgamesh was not a story you invented. You were there. You drove back the nameless fae hordes with our grandparents. You were named the other name you wore by one of our clan. They were all real, I promise you.
I will not speak for my mad sister, your lost lover, for while I know her heart and why she did what she did, those words are for between the two of you. But I can speak for the proper history the world should have. Your bonds with my clan are eternal, unbreakable, even in the face of nonexistence. It is evidenced by the fact that despite the world rejecting our existence, you still wore a name we gave you, you still told the story of Gilgamesh as best you could. Eira speaks loftily, and while I agree with some of it in principle, I personally do not give one iota of a fuck for the world of man or the sanctity of reality. I care for my family and I will have them back.
If you wish to undo the things you've done, the prisons you've kept, I will happily help you throw them all wide open in return for your help with my goal."
Re: [2/2]
Date: 2024-08-27 04:10 am (UTC)... It would be so much simpler, you two, if it was just me...
::Bowing her head down, as her hair shimmers to a chilling silver.::
And not we. Do you know how much the song and dance we're forced to play out is screaming at us to seal you both in a prison you'll never come back from, as I impale my Signer on a pike to play out the Tragedy Play of Quetzacoatl Ultimaya Tzolkin from the Festival of Duality?
How much blood I and my siblings keep pouring and pouring to repeat that endless dance...
::Laughs brokenly.::
Re: [2/2]
Date: 2024-08-27 04:30 am (UTC)Look, we're legitimately here to help, I swear. I know looking at me is like looking at why Dream/Illusion magic was banned back in the day and Helen is... well, worse, probably. But we're friendly abominations."
She takes a step backwards though. She's not willing to tangle with the dragon if she has a choice. Helen stays where she is.
"Look, cycles like that can be broken. You've NEVER been happy with it, and yeah, you're tied to it, but wasn't there a time you weren't? There's ways around it. No more bloodshed. No more throwing kids into meatgrinders."
Re: [2/2]
Date: 2024-08-27 04:56 am (UTC)::A smart choice, somehow you can sense this is her warrior's instincts.::
... No. There's never been a time, Eira and Helen, if that's your names.
I'm part of an eternal tragedy morality play that plays forever to replicate the victory of the Dragon Star over the Chaoskampf, that eventually became the forever war of the Earthbound Immortals and the Signer Dragons.
And my Signer is always meant to be ground to meat or one of the two eternal women who will suffer forever and ever in the eternal dance.
I was born from the Dragon Star taking from the First Progenitor, and mixing its blood with that of the first mistake of creation, to lock and jail and hide away everything that would prevent the Age of Mankind.
Re: [2/2]
Date: 2024-08-27 05:05 am (UTC)"Those ARE our names. If we were anything from those other places... forget it. Look, that's shit. That's a shit hand you were dealt. There's gotta be ways around that cycle, rewrite the rules, SOMETHING. Just because something's been true for a long time doesn't mean it has to continue to be!
And Helen's right. Both you and Blair KNOW something's up. Maybe not with us, because what you're looking at is our nature and we're slippery at the best of times, but with our grandpa vanishing and how bad that made it for you! You know something's supposed to be in those holes."
Re: [2/2]
Date: 2024-08-27 05:13 am (UTC)And.
Why exactly should I fill them, enemy of man?
Re: [2/2]
Date: 2024-08-27 06:12 am (UTC)And, yeah, there's some selfish shit to what we want because we want our sisters and dad back, but there's also good it's going to bring to the world! Our pops and Gina and Trena all did stuff for mankind and while we may both not really care what happens to mankind, it's not like we're actively antagonistic to them either!"
Re: [2/2]
Date: 2024-08-27 06:16 am (UTC)From my perspective, I, Avery, the Queen of Fairies, WAS Gilgamesh. The world's doing perfectly fine with that truth.
And why should I bring back the woman who broke my heart? Who weeps for her? Is some notion of blood or family that important, Eira? For a woman who ran away from everyone else?
Why fix things when the world seems just fine?
Re: [2/2]
Date: 2024-08-27 06:48 am (UTC)Kiko's clearly a sore spot, and you two deserve to have some closure. Both of you. I don't care how that turns out. That's between you and her. And, yeah, she ran from everything. I'm not gonna claim I know her heart like Helen does, but I'm guessing she had her reasons. No one does stuff like that without a reason in the first place. And I'm not channeling some super creepy insight into the universe like Helen is, or I'd just flat out tell you why.
So you're gonna have to talk to her yourself. It's not gonna be fun, not gonna be pleasant, and as soon as she's out of the void, we're leaving. That's all we want."
Re: [2/2]
Date: 2024-08-27 06:59 am (UTC)... You want me to have closure with her. I don't. She picked what she wanted, to become a thing, and then forgotten to the world. Besides...
::Her hair glows gold.::
While the Crimson Dragon can't do anything to yank my chain as it doesn't know what chain to yank, I have my own goals. To help Kamala create a world where the Crimson Dragon's endless waltz falls apart.
We're at an impasse, girls.
I don't want those holds filled, and if I'm successful, there will be no reason to fix them, as the endless tragedy I'm forced to watch over and over and over...
::Her hair glows silver.::
Can never be played out again!
Re: [2/2]
Date: 2024-08-27 07:09 am (UTC)Breaking the dragon system though? Yeah, that's cool. It sounds shitty and broken, like most systems. I think grandpa even talked about breaking it to help you."
Re: [2/2]
Date: 2024-08-27 07:23 am (UTC)There is no grandfather! I am the first named hero of humanity! And now I plan to close the book on the Age of Mankind as its one and only champion who gave up everything she loved for mankind!!
And if you truly want to fix it, raise my Signer up to her full godhood so she can create a world with no identities, and return it to the primordial whirring gyre, so the shackles placed on the Traveler of Minus, the Black Rose Witch, and the Earthbound Tyrant stop having to play out in an endless carnage as the victims and villains of the second act!!
Re: [2/2]
Date: 2024-08-27 07:34 am (UTC)And I get that you're an Ancient Fairy Dragon who had to go through a shit timeline that didn't have my family in it, but... damn. It's been real bad, everywhere I look. So, what are you gonna do about us? Kill us? Puzzle box? Lemme know, so we can start booking it."
Re: [2/2]
Date: 2024-08-27 07:42 am (UTC)Either fight me and meet your jail or run like the horrors you are!
[1/2]
Date: 2024-08-27 07:55 am (UTC)She takes another step back, now behind Helen.
"C'mon Helen. I'll shift and you can jump on my back, and we'll get the hell out of here. The order's gotten all fucked up, but setbacks were inevitable. Maybe we do pops and through him we can get Kiko?"
[2/3]
Date: 2024-08-27 08:39 am (UTC)Though the Barians or Mamoru could work as well, but I think we'll have to manifest him in front of her to make her remember, if your theory about Illusion Witches being more easily affected by this nonsense holds any water."
Helen instead... takes a step forward.
"And I'm tired of this nonsense. A girl kissed me and I want to tell my father. I want to tell him and my mother and have them give me useless advice on courtship rituals. Or they're so shocked that it happened to me that they can't figure out where to even START."
Helen crouches a little, tugging at the ground... tugging... She aged herself up here. She knows the twisty magics and possibility is thin here. Tugging... and produces a duel disk. But it's not hers. Something that resembles both the scales on armor and fish scales and a shield. Clearly custom-made, very expensive. It'd probably belong on someone who was doing professional dueling with a Mermail schtick. It whirrs to life on Helen's arm as her other hand tugs out a deck that she slams into it.
